These next few weeks are going to be torture..

It is 12 o'clock at night, but for some reason, I am up writing a blog. There is so much on my mind right now. Tuesday, I got good news from my Math professor. He reminded me that the last session for us to meet for class is next Thursday. I was shocked at first because I didn't realize how quick class was going by. Overall, I am glad to have one less class to worry about. Now, I have to study for my Math final. Then, I have to write a lab report for next Thursday. Next Thursday is also the same day I take my lab midterm. I’m not too sure how that is going to play out. I also have to write a five page paper for biology and I have to write a paper for my English midterm. I am not looking forward to any of this. So far, most of my grades haven't been too good, so I really need to hit the ground running this week. These next few weeks are going to be torture.

Life takes some funny twists and turns...

Life really does take some funny twists and turns. In the past, there were times when I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, and later on down the line, I ended up doing the exact opposite. If I had gone by what i wanted to do my junior and senior year of high school, I wouldn't be attending Tri County Technical College. I'd be attending Winthrop University majoring in Graphic Design. Somewhere between now and then, life took some funny twists and turns and completely changed all of that. Now, I am a student at Tri County majoring in Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. In high school, i always thought I would be doing something in the Art cluster. I never thought I would end up in Health Care. I haven’t been extremely excited about my choice. I’m constantly thinking about whether or not this is what I want to do. Maybe life is just getting ready to take me through another surprise.

Biology Exam !

This morning, I had my first biology exam. I was up until four o'clock this morning studying. I actually felt a little confident about the test. When my professor passed them out, I did a quick look through to see what was on it. Normally, I like to start off with short answer questions, while all the information is still fresh on my mind. If I wait until I actually get to the question, more than likely I will forget. While I was looking through it, the questions were a whole lot harder than I expected. Of course, with my luck, the stuff I knew the most was not even on there. The diagrams i studied the most, was not on there either. The multiple choice wasn't that bad, but when I got to the written part, I sort of freaked out. I was probably the forth to last to finish. I tried to put an answer down for all of the questions, but I’m really not expecting a good grade.

HW Distractions..

When I’m trying to do homework, I easily get distracted. I think the biggest distractions are Facebook, Twitter, TV, and my cell phone. Facebook and Twitter are extremely hard to stay away from, especially if you are doing homework on the computer. Sometimes it’s so hard to resist the urge to check your notifications or tweet your most random thoughts. I give in more than I probably should. TV is only a problem if there is a good movie on. If it’s a movie I love and haven't seen in a while, I might put the books down until it goes off. Last but not least, cell phones. I text more than I actually talk. Whenever I get a text, I try not to look at it. I normally want give in until there's about three or four new messages. Since I am now in college, I really need to focus on my work more than anything. So, I guess the best solution is to not give in.

I'm writing this blog, but I should be...

I'm writing this blog but I should be studying for these three exams I have to take this week. I have an exam in biology, probability and statistics,and one in psychology. I think the one I will have the most trouble with is biology. Just because thats not my favorite subject at all. To some people, that stuff comes kinda easy, but to me is just a lot going on. I also have an essay due this week for english, which I just got finished working on. It took me a while to get started on it. For some reason, I just could't get the introduction right. After I finally got it, the rest of it wasn't that bad. It was also hard trying to do work with four of my nephews running all over the place. Overall, I feel like this might be a long week. I just hope that I can get through it. And I hope that I bring in some good grades this week.
